FRANCE

VISA REQUIREMENTS

French visas are done through Capago. Visas International can assist by loading the form online and booking the appointment.

In order for us to assist kindly send us:

• Clear passport copy
• Completed Application form

Requirements:

• Valid passport (must be valid for six months). Temporary passports WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

• Original, fully completed application form.

• Two recent passport size colour photographs (must have a white background). NO

STAPLE MARKS ON THE PHOTOS.

• Detailed flight itinerary.

• Insurance and breakdown of insurance and must state “Schengen” and must be issued from at least date of departure from South Africa till the date of return.

• 3 months recent bank statements original and must be stamped. This needs to be done before date of appointment. Please note: Consulate in Cape Town will not accept a bank letter as proof of funds.

• Proof of accommodation (including proof of accommodation for all the other countries the passenger will be going to on this trip).

• Children – letter from school.

• All passengers travelling via the UK will be required to first obtain a valid British visa.

• Applicants with EU family members must get a DECLARATION signed.

Special requirements for Tourists

• Original South African employment letter and must indicate salary.
• If visiting family/friends, certificate of board & lodging (Attestation d’accueil – See example)

Special requirements for Business

• Original South African business letter and must indicate salary. If cannot put salary on the letter then must produce a pay slip
• Letter of invitation from the French company (no emails).

Minors

• Certified parental consent letter is required for persons under 18 years of age if they are not travelling with a parent or legal guardian, OR if they are travelling with one parent only.
• Minors travelling to France need to submit full-unabridged birth certificate.

Processing Time

Ø    3 to 5 working days but the consulate can issue according to the date of travel.

NB: The French Consulate can reject on collection and monies are non refundable.
